Last week I was very lucky to take part in a workshop with Eike Koenig and Tobias Röttger, which was organized by Berlin University of Art (UdK)
We did handiwork in th truest sense of the word. Equipped with paper, scissors, pens, glue and an old black and white copier in the hall we explored the possibilities of working analog for 2 days and had a lot of fun indeed!
If you don’t already know Eike, have a look at this interview :
The cherry on the cake were all the stories Eike told us about his career and founding his own playground “Hort”.
It’s amazing, when you think about, how many designers (me included) try to fit into the working envirement that presents itself to us without questioning it at all.
But thanks to Eike I was reminded, that it doesn’t have to be this way. Working self-determined and playful is possible and that’s what I aim to do!! Who’s with me?
Summer has finally left and it’s raining in Berlin. 3 weeks in Spain has been great, despite the blisters. Hiking 300km, meeting super nice people and practicing my castellano, oh and not to forget the sunshine!!
Now Xmas is getting closer - it’s time for new products
About a month ago I was interviewed by arte for a feature about young designers in Berlin.
I found out about the broadcast too late, but now I received the video
The crew was really nice, they even came along with me as I delivered Shirts to a shop (Silberfischer). They filmed about three hours and compressed it into 3 minutes, that must be hard, to decide what to cut out and what to leave in!!!
